WHY
BLOOM & GLOOM?
We are a game studio in Malmö, Sweden, built on the belief that everyone deserves to do meaningful work. To be creative and to have proper ownership over one’s work, within a supportive team, is in our opinion a way to live a happier life and the way to create great games together.
Founded by Industry Veterans
Bloom & Gloom is founded by industry veterans, with a wide range of experiences from development to management, and from AAA, to indie, to education. This really just means we’re old and we have a bunch of opinions on how to do things.
Ambitious and agile
In our book, good teamwork is the single most fundamental thing to create great game experiences efficiently, and a team of the right size has the best teamwork. We have big plans for the studio - but it’s not becoming a single monolithic team of hundreds of developers. Instead, we want to have multiple smaller teams working in parallel.
Pay equity between disciplines
We firmly believe that a game doesn’t live and die with individuals. It’s a team effort, and we want that to be reflected in how we compensate team members.

OUR GAMES
We believe games should be activity driven immersion machines, open and accessible to everyone.
Our games are creative and systemic open worlds that allow for playfulness and roleplay, where players want to spend time and have ample opportunity to do so.
For our current project, we invite you to explore a rich, vibrant and wondrous world, where nostalgia and wanderlust go head to head with inevitable industrialization.
