WHY
BLOOM & GLOOM?

We are a small game studio in Malmö, Sweden, built on the belief that everyone deserves to do meaningful work. Our tenets are to allow people to own their work, be creative, and have proper support from their team. That is in our opinion the best way to make games and live a happier life.

Founded by Industry Veterans

Bloom & Gloom is founded by industry veterans, with a wide range of experiences from development to management, and from AAA, to indie, to education. This really just means we’re old and we have a bunch of opinions on how to do things.

Ambitious and agile

Good teamwork is the single most fundamental thing to create great game experiences efficiently, and a team of the right size has the best teamwork. We have big plans for the studio - but it’s not becoming a single monolithic team of hundreds of developers.

Pay equity between disciplines

We firmly believe that a game doesn’t live and die with individuals. It’s a team effort, and we want that to be reflected in how we compensate team members.

OUR GAMES

When we feel pretentious we say that our games are activity driven immersion machines, open and accessible to everyone. 

What we actually do is systemic and stylized games, where activites and world building matters a lot. We want to build places players want to spend time in.

Our current project is a stylized, beautiful, open world, premium game about flight, motorcycles, cargo, post and pirates, built in Unreal Engine 5.
